Our cork Goldeneye decoys are painted to represent mature birds in breeding plumage. The bodies are carved from a high density decoy cork blank 13 1/2 X 7 X 4 1 inches which produces a stable and oversize decoy. Wooden tail insert, hand carved wooden head, sealed with two coats of spar varnish,individually weighted and then hand painted with premium quality acrylic paints. Unlimited head positions add life and interest to your decoy spread. This decoy won the "Best Diver" at the ODCCA show in 2008 (over 50 entries!). Decoys will self right from any position. Keels are internally weighted and provide anchor line attachment fore and aft. For consistent success hunting Goldeneye you need to have the right decoys. Six will usually do the job, but they must be Goldeneye decoys or the game is over! |
